Park I is more suited to kids but not very young that they do not remember the experience. Remember, there is much walking to do, and the parents cannot get into the rides if you take very young kids. Age 4 onwards would enjoy more, but it might not be as suitable for someone close to 18 years.

On the other hand, Walt Disney Studio II is more suited to older kids and adults, and it has got some thrill-seeking rides.

Visit duration

To experience most rides, dine, and watch the show in Disneyland it takes most of the day. If you want to soak in more and repeat your favourite rides, one day isn’t enough for Park I.

Park II is smaller but has lots of small shows, and other thrilling rides and it takes another day.

On the whole, depending on how much done it takes 2-3 days.

Best time to visit

If you want to visit when visitors are less than normal, plan to stay mid-week during mid-January through to mid-May. The waiting times are shorter. However, there may be less scheduled shows and events at these times.

If you want to visit while the Disney Parks have extended hours and more scheduled shows and events, plan your stay for weekends during the summer months and for special seasonal events. However, throughout these times, in spite of FastPass entry, you will still have to be in the relatively longer queue.

Crowds are overwhelming during Easter, Christmas and French school holidays.

Food & Drink

Disneyland has lots of eateries, fine dining as well as quick on the go meals. Park I has many cafes and restaurants in each of their themed lands.

On the way from ride to ride, you’ll see many food stalls, selling ice creams, soft drinks and other items.

Park II has three cafes near Backlot and Frontlot areas.

Alternatively, you also can take your food and water. There are fountains to refill. Plenty of picnic areas is available.

Services and Retail

Disneyland has many facilities like toilets, horse-rides, shuttle service (quite crowded at night), luggage storage services, first aid room, souvenir shops, etc.

  • Extended magic time can only be enjoyed by guests of some Disney hotels to additional time in one of the theme parks before or after operating hours.
  • Designated smoking areas are enforced. Don’t smoke indoors or in queues.

  • English is widely spoken in Disneyland Paris.
  • Do expect some rides to be shut down due to faults on the ride.
  • In particular rides, you can wait in a shorter ‘single entry’ queue if you do not mind to be placed with another tourist to go on rides. This will dramatically reduce the waiting time in the queue.
  • As you may expect, queues, for the most parks are shorter at the start and end of the day, so join the queue on the popular ones first.
  • Ticket lines at the entrance could be very long but move reasonably fast.
  • Download Disneyland Paris app on iPhone or Android to access the real-time park information.
  • Disneyland Paris has excellent customer service compared to other attractions in France.
  • It is highly advisable to stay at Marne La Vallée to fully absorb the 2-3 day experience.
  • Some of the rides and shows in Disney Studio park has loud cars, crashes, flames, floods and sudden surprises which can be daunting to younger children.
